407 Dudley Street & 78 Forest Street

 

Located between Dudley Square and Newmarket Square is the former city of Boston Steam Engine No. 12 Fire House. The building located at 407 Dudley Street was originally built in 1875, this 7,500 square foot building sat vacant for nearly 15 years until it was purchased in the Spring of 2015. Construction started in the Fall of 2015 and the building is now made up of seven residential apartments and one commercial space with units ranging in size from studio to four bedrooms. 

78 Forest Street is located directly behind 407 Dudley Street. This building sat vacant for nearly 15 years until it was purchased in the Spring of 2015. Construction began in the Fall of 2015 and the 2 luxury residential condos were completed in the Summer of 2016. 

The complex now known as the Firehouse Lofts delivered in the Fall of 2016.

Designed by Vanko Studio Architects, built by Artizan General Construction, and financed by Leader Bank; a comprehensive neighborhood approval process, zoning relief and BRA design review were required.
